Staff: Jose Jimenez (He/Him)

Jose Jimenez has a Bachelors in Psychology from UC Merced and a Masters in Education from Fresno State. Jose has over 20 years of experience working with youth and their circle of support families. Jose has worked as a tutor, substitute teacher, and has worked with individuals that have developmental disabilities that are in crisis.

As a youth Jose had mentors help guide him in the right path that helped him stay away from gangs and prison and graduate high school. Jose graduated from Crenshaw High in Los Angeles where Jose was born and raised in south LA. Jose has a passion for giving back to others and helping those that are socially and economically disadvantaged through his community services and advocacy.

Jose is proud to be a member of Friends LA and is eager to make a change in the lives of the children he will be serving and help provide guidance, structure, and compassion for the next generation of mentors!
