June 15, 2021 Small Steps Add Up to Big Results Our children have a village of support that celebrate their success alongside them! Theo* has improved significantly in school since the start of the new year. Victor, his Friend, has loved seeing Theo grow confident in the classroom! When they were first paired together, Theo was hesitant to participate in class. But now, after consistent encouragement from his Friend, his teacher, and his family, Theo is so engaged that he was recently named Student of the Month!! We are so proud of Theo, and the countless achievers in our program just like him! We get so much joy from seeing our youth succeed in school so quickly with the support of our mentors. Through the support and empowerment of a Friend, we find that 95% of our youth achieve school success in areas of attendance, homework, reading, math, and building healthy relationships with peers in the classroom. *Name has been changed to protect youth’s privacy.
