May 05, 2021 Seeing is Believing Amid the pandemic, our youth have shown resilience in abundance - and Matty* is no different. Read this recent update about him, as told by his Friend. Matty* damaged his reading glasses, and now virtual learning has become a bigger obstacle than it originally was. We've adapted our calls to auditory learning while his parents wait for Medi-Cal approval for new glasses. During our pro-social development time, we usually play a sound guessing game, it is a great time for Mathis to practice his interpersonal skills. Ms. Yvonne*, our caregiver really values the flexibility to adapt our program to meet her youth's needs. We are raising the bar on what it means to serve the youth of the Antelope Valley, and doing so, we hold our partners accountable. In collaboration with his educator and his academic specialist, we know he will continue to have positive progress this school year. *Names have been changed to protect identities.
