Adriana was struggling to fit in and find motivated in school. During the Fall months, she did not like going to school and missed many days. Her teacher and Friend worked closely together to support her process of logging into class daily; her Friend helped Adriana interact more in class and with peers. After 6 months of focusing on this goal, the youth proudly told her Friend that she had made two friends at school. By May she was told she made the honor roll. This was a huge success because the support helped build Adriana's sense of belonging and ultimately improved her academic achievement.
