Epic And Chrissy Teigen Host Friends LA Caregivers for National Parents Day Off

In a world that requires caregivers to give nearly all of themselves to everyone around them, it has become more crucial than ever for caregivers to practice self-care. Doing so offers caregivers the fuel they need to handle the responsibilities of being a parent and allows caregivers to be emotionally available to raise happy and healthy children.

On September 14, our caregivers experienced pampering at The London West Hollywood in Beverly Hills while their children were enthusiastically entertained in a nearby suite. Caregivers enjoyed various spa-like activities, including manicures, pedicures, guided sound bath meditation, yoga, and massages. Epic also teamed up with bestselling author, TV personality, and mom, Chrissy Teigen, to surprise our families with rewarding prizes!

"I'm so thankful I was able to have this experience," said Shana Brown, a joyful mother of three young kids. "My day-to-day life is hard and long. I wake up at 6:30 each morning, prepare myself quickly, and then devote the rest of my time to my kids."

A typical morning in Shana's life includes getting her children bathed, dressed, fed, and then commuting to drop them off at their respective schools. After a long day's work, Shana picks her children up from their after-school supervision. She makes the commute back home – typically not arriving until 7:30 pm-8:00 pm due to notoriously heavy south Los Angeles traffic. "After dinner and homework time, it's past 10 o'clock already. Naturally, I put my kids down for bed so that I can finally close my own eyes...and then, the routine starts all over again."

Shana was one of the 15 caregivers who loved the event. "I just don't have the time or resources to catch a break. So being here and receiving all of this special treatment makes me feel really appreciated."
