Samantha brings a unique blend of experiences and perspectives to her role as a Professional Mentor/Friend at Friends of the Children. With a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of San Diego, she is passionate about using her skills to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Her journey into this field was shaped by personal experiences with homelessness during childhood. At eight years old, Samantha and her family faced homelessness in Los Angeles, eventually relocating to Boston for a more stable life. These experiences ignited a desire to help others, particularly those navigating similar challenges. Prior to joining Friends of the Children, Samantha worked at Brilliant Corners, assisting at-risk individuals and families in securing and maintaining housing.
In her current role, Samantha is committed to providing compassionate and effective support to the youth she serves. She believes in the power of empathy, open communication, and seeing challenges as opportunities for growth. Outside of work, Samantha enjoys exploring Los Angeles, engaging in visual arts, and spending time with friends and family.
