Nicole Taylor

Professional Mentor, Metro-South Los Angeles

Nicole loves supporting youth in their educational, personal, and spiritual journeys by helping them create the life of their dreams.

Her journey into the world of mentorship & education began in 2005 after a School Counselor told her she had the opportunity to go to college. This conversation changed her life. Because of her School Counselor, she applied and was accepted into UC Irvine where her 2 majors in Public Health & Psychology and her minor in Education taught her how to critically think. Her University education also gave her access to Professors, textbooks, and friends that taught her how to embrace herself and her culture in ways she never had before. This ultimately sparked her passion for educating and supporting others.

Nicole has worked in previous roles as a Tutor, Academic Advisor, and Community Organizer and she is excited to begin this new journey in her role as a "Friend" at Friends of the Children-Los Angeles.

In her spare time you can find her roller skating at the beach, dancing at a live music show, or embroidering.
