Staff: Mercedes Gomez-Lopez

Mercedes Gomez-Lopez is a professional mentor who works with children and families to develop meaningful connections and a support system.

Mercedes believes every child and family deserves access to resources and guidance that help them thrive. Through mentorship, Mercedes will be able to offer both youth and families support.

Mercedes has worked at an after school and before school program with elementary school aged youth and has mentored high school students interested in careers in psychology. Mercedes has facilitated relationship-building activities, supported youth in transitional periods, and collaborated with caregivers and school staff to strengthen communication and engagement.

Mercedes is a trained Crisis Counselor for the Crisis Text Line where she has supported individuals experiencing emotional distress and crisis.

Mercedes holds a B.A in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles.
