Lisa is a very giving individual who helps her family, friends, and even those she may not always know. She thrives on making a change and doing whatever she can to try to make others’ day because you never know what someone is going through. Every time she achieves that, it makes her day better, knowing she put a smile on someone else’s face.
Lisa believes that being a positive role model in children’s lives is essential so that they can always be reminded that they are important, someone believes in them, and will never give up on them. Especially as someone who was raised in South Central LA and did not always have the full support needed, knowing that she’s able to give the youth support makes Lisa's heart smile.
Lisa has worked as a mentor at middle schools and high schools as a tutor and assistant basketball coach, where she developed positive relationships with players and students. She was able to help these children with not only their physical well-being but also their emotional well-being, all while developing more equipped ways of being caring, nurturing, and supportive.
Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, graduating with honors cum laude from CSUDH.
