Kristina Justiniano is the Chief Advancement Officer at Friends of the Children – Los Angeles, where she leads the organization’s comprehensive advancement strategy to sustain and scale its long-term, relationship-based model supporting children and families across Los Angeles County. In this role, she oversees development, strategic partnerships, and external engagement, with a focus on building enduring philanthropic investment and deepening community impact.
Kristina brings more than 15 years of experience leading fundraising and growth strategies across national nonprofits, higher education, and mission-driven organizations. Most recently, she served as Director of Philanthropy at The Bail Project, a national nonprofit working to end wealth-based pretrial detention. In that role, she led the organization’s development vision, building a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support its next phase of growth and impact.
Prior to The Bail Project, Kristina held senior development leadership roles at Loyola Marymount University and served as Executive Director of the Gasol Foundation, where she built programs and partnerships from the ground up. Her earlier career includes leadership roles in entertainment, media, and business development, including work with Magic Johnson Enterprises, giving her a unique ability to bridge philanthropy, partnerships, and brand strategy.
Kristina holds a J.D. from George Washington University Law School and a B.A. in international business from Augsburg University. In free time, she enjoys spending time at the beach, staying active and supporting animal rescues.
