Karina Olivares (She/Her)

Professional Mentor, Antelope Valley

Karina believes that every young person deserves a trusted adult who sees their potential and helps them build the tools to reach it. She is passionate about creating safe, empowering spaces where individuals can thrive regardless of their past or circumstances.

After spending several years frequently visiting the Antelope Valley, she has recently moved to the area and is eager to give back to the community in a meaningful way. Karina has over 10 years of experience working with children across diverse settings. With this experience, she has supported at-risk youth in detention centers, worked one-on-one with children using applied behavior analysis techniques, and in mentoring roles, she has helped individuals overcome challenges and celebrate growth. Karina is also bilingual in Spanish and English, enabling her to connect deeply with the communities she serves.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Applied Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is currently pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders at Utah State University
