Born and raised in Los Angeles, Josselle has always been passionate about volunteering in her community and engaging with organizations who work with youth in under-served areas.
Josselle obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a focus on print media and a minor in English from California State University Northridge. A proud Matador, Josselle served as philanthropy chair for her collegiate sorority where she organized multiple events in conjunction with the Arthritis Foundation in support of Juvenile Arthritis Research. While in college and after, she utilized her journalism experience to mentor students at Northridge Academy High School to establish a campus newspaper as well as organized media showcases at USC for students from various high schools in Los Angeles.
While working for the online sector of the Los Angeles Daily News, Josselle pursued certification in Early Childhood Development and Education and went on to teach at a Montessori School where she worked both as a teacher and as a human resources administrator.
Josselle continued her HR career in the biopharmaceutical research sphere where she led company efforts to promote STEM learning amongst foster youth in the San Fernando Valley. Josselle’s previous human resources experience has led her to Friends LA where she is committed to providing HR related support to staff across all sites.
