Staff: Jose Medina

Jose Medina received his AS in Library Technician at Long Beach City College and has worked with the children of Long Beach for eight years before becoming a Professional Mentor. Having previously worked for the LBUSD and YMCA, as well as having been a Behavior Technician, he has experience working with the youth of his community and working with caretakers to learn to adapt and deal with maladaptive behaviors.

Jose enjoys working with kids and strives to be a positive role model and to help to create a positive environment and nurture their passions and interests. He is excited to work with caretakers and improve their situation and to help the children achieve their full potential.
