Isaiah Clark (He/Him)

Professional Mentor, Metro-South Los Angeles

Isaiah is a Los Angeles native who has spent over a decade working with children by way of
education and mentoring. Throughout his life he has dedicated a lot of time to pouring back into
his community and its youth whether it be through his church, job or own accord.

Having been part of many mentorship programs himself, Isaiah has seen the value and impact a
mentor can have on a child's life, especially during their formative years. He believes that this
line of work is a form of transformative justice, and has the capacity to change our world for the
better. It is these experiences that drove him to work as a mentor while obtaining his degree at
UCLA. There he was able to positively impact the lives of over 60 kids and young adults.
Hosting workshops, summer bridge programs and one on one meetings to help youth become
themselves and aspire to new heights. For this he was awarded The Unilever Legacy of
Leadership award by the Jackie Robinson Foundation.

After graduating Isaiah worked as an academic facilitator, teaching over 68 kids between 3 sites
across Los Angeles county. There he was able to continue to empower 2nd-8th graders by
showing them they could take on seemingly difficult tasks and subjects. Now at Friends LA ,he
hopes to continue empowering and transforming the lives of our youth and society.
