Giselle Garcia is a Professional Mentor with Friends of the Children: Los Angeles, where she is dedicated to empowering the youngest members of our community. Raised in the San Fernando Valley, Giselle has a deep connection to the neighborhoods she serves and is driven by a commitment to give back to the youth and families who make this community home.

Working closely with children ages 4-6, Giselle brings patience, playfulness, and genuine care to every interaction, creating a foundation of trust and consistency that helps youth feel safe, supported, and seen.

Before joining Friends LA, Giselle worked with a local nonprofit serving families in the San Fernando Valley, where she gained meaningful experience supporting community-based programs and advocating for resources that uplift children and caregivers. Her work strengthened her belief in the importance of early intervention, compassionate guidance, and ensuring families feel supported.

Giselle is passionate about mental health advocacy and integrates that commitment into her mentorship. She strives to nurture emotional wellness in every child she works with, helping them build confidence, express themselves, and develop the social-emotional skills that will support them throughout their lives.
